Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an engineer to drive development of power generation, energy storage, and utility infrastructure projects from concept through execution. You will lead multidisciplinary teams and prepare conceptual designs, basis-of-design documents, schedules, and cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with PE license is required
• 2+ years of relevant engineering experience
• FE certification preferred
• Exposure to power generation, energy storage, utility infrastructure, or industrial capital projects
• Familiarity with project economics, project planning, and conceptual engineering
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and work independently
• Experience developing conceptual engineering packages, capital cost estimates, and project schedules
• Familiarity with project economics and business case development
• 4+ years of relevant engineering experience for Engineer III; 8+ years for Senior Engineer; leadership on complex projects

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual designs, basis-of-design documents, project schedules, execution strategies, and capital cost estimates
• Perform technical and economic evaluations to support project screening, technology selection, and investment decisions
• Collaborate with commercial, business development, operations, environmental, regulatory, and construction teams
• Partner with engineering consultants, EPC contractors, equipment manufacturers, utilities, and customers
• Support development of innovative energy solutions for industrial, data center, and infrastructure applications
• Identify and mitigate technical, permitting, environmental, regulatory, constructability, and schedule risks
• Ensure projects are developed with consideration for safety, reliability, operability, maintainability, and lifecycle performance
