Job summary
Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. seeks a Software Development Manager to lead the ECS Dataplane/Storage & Networking group in Jersey City. You will drive architecture for multi-tier web services and own mission-critical customer-facing services, while mentoring engineers.
You will partner with product managers, review designs, and shape the roadmap for the container lifecycle that powers ECS and AWS services.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
- 7+ years of engineering experience.
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
- 3+ years of Software Engineer/Developer experience.
- 1+ years of distributed systems using SOA.
- Knowledge of full software/hardware/networks life cycle.
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team owning critical software stack governing container lifecycle.
- Architect and design scalable, reliable multi-tier web services.
- Partner with product/program teams to define features and roadmap.
- Recruit, mentor and coach Software Engineers to improve skills.
