Amazon Web Services is seeking a Software Development Manager for the AWS EBS Data Plane in Boston, MA. You will lead an engineering team responsible for building and operating a high-performance, distributed storage system behind EC2.

The role emphasizes mentorship, collaboration with product/program management, and driving best practices across the software development lifecycle, including code reviews, testing, and live-site operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, reviews, source control, build processes and operations.
• Experience deploying or developing with AI acceleration hardware or large language models is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and program management teams.
• Build and operate large, distributed storage systems in the cloud.
• Mentor engineers and participate in thorough, constructive code reviews.
