Job summary

Amazon seeks a Software Development Manager to lead the development of S3's storage service in Seattle, WA. You will drive design and implementation of scalable, durable, high-performing storage software and partner with leaders across S3 Storage to deliver at cloud scale.

You will define deliverables, mentor engineers, and lead multi-tier web services initiatives while focusing on performance improvements and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years working directly within engineering teams.
• 3+ years designing or architecting scalable systems.
• 8+ years leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.

Responsibilities
