Job summary

Second Front Systems in the United States is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a distributed team building and scaling Game Warden, our flagship platform enabling secure software delivery to government environments.

You will drive technical execution, mentor engineers, partner with Product, Platform, and Security teams, and help shape the roadmap as we scale toward Series D and beyond, while upholding security and compliance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years leading teams.
• Experience leading distributed teams in growth/startup environments.
• Strong cloud infra knowledge (AWS, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a distributed team of engineers, fostering excellence and collaboration.
• Drive execution across initiatives to enhance scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Partner with Product, Platform, and Security to define roadmaps and milestones.
• Provide technical guidance and architectural oversight to ensure best practices.
• Translate strategic objectives into actionable engineering plans.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop top engineering talent aligned with the mission and culture.
• Evolve engineering processes, tooling, and delivery frameworks as the company grows.
