Job summary

Second Front Systems (2F) seeks a Platform Engineer for its UK team to scale Game Warden's DevSecOps platform, supporting secure, air-gapped environments and government partnerships. You will build CI/CD pipelines, manage security tooling, and collaborate across UK defence stakeholders to drive accreditation and secure cloud adoption.

Preferred candidates will have 5–7+ years in DevSecOps and cloud-native design, with DV clearance eligibility, travel readiness, and experience in regulated

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of DevSecOps, systems engineering, and software development experience.
• Senior-level expertise building cloud-native platforms on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native orchestration.
• Strong Golang or similar language skills.
• Familiarity with UK/intl compliance like MOD Secure by Design, JSP 453, NCSC Cloud Security Principles, NIST 800-53.
• Experience deploying in air-gapped/classified environments.
• Experience building secure CI/CD pipelines and integrating security throughout SDLC.
• Hands-on SIEM, monitoring, and alerting.
• Understanding of REST APIs and microservice patterns.
• Strong documentation and independent work in distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Support security and operations of Game Warden across air-gapped and classified environments.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines with DevSecOps best practices.
• Integrate and maintain SIEM and security tooling across deployments.
• Develop scalable, secure cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes and Pulumi (Go).
• Collaborate with UK defence stakeholders to meet accreditation criteria.
• Document infrastructure and procedures for repeatable deployments.
• Contribute to R&D to advance platform capabilities in secure environments.
• Shape 2F’s UK DevSecOps strategy and infrastructure standards.
