Job summary

Voyager Technologies' Engineering Manager, Rockets leads a multi-disciplinary team focused on solid rocket motor design, propellant formulation, process scale-up and production to deliver defense-critical propulsion capabilities. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this role sits in the Voyager Energetics Engineering department in Penrose, CO and is onsite with a transition plan to Pueblo, CO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering with 5+ years of hands-on propulsion experience.
• 15+ years experience with solid rocket motor development and production.
• 5+ years leading complex propulsion projects in regulated/defense environment.
• 5+ years supervising engineering teams of 5+ engineers across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary engineering team across solid rocket motor design, propellant formulation, process scale-up, and production.
• Drive engineering strategy, planning, and resource allocation to meet performance, cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Oversee development, review and approval of engineering deliverables and ensure compliance with internal and government standards.
• Represent the organization in technical reviews and foster a culture of safety, accountability, and technical excellence.
