Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Colorado is seeking a Principal Project Engineer to lead end-to-end solid rocket motor programs and shape portfolio directions. The role acts as the senior technical authority and mentor within Voyager’s Strategic Systems line of business, reporting to the Program Manager, SRM, with on-site work in Penrose/Pueblo, CO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years of combined tech and PM experience, or 14 years without a degree.
• Deep experience with solid rocket motor design, development, and manufacturing and with qualification-to-production ownership.
• Proven ability to manage complex defense programs with cost, schedule, and technical scope accountability.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical and programmatic execution on SRM programs from proposal through qualification to production.
• Serve as the primary customer interface on assigned programs, aligning requirements and representing Voyager’s capabilities.
• Resolve technically complex engineering and program execution challenges, setting standards for the team.
• Mentor junior Project Engineers and contribute to cross-program technical visibility.
