Job summary

Voyager is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead end-to-end execution of solid rocket motor design and manufacturing programs — from concept through qualification — ensuring delivery on cost, schedule, and technical performance commitments.

This onsite role in Penrose/Pueblo, Colorado reports to the Program Manager, Solid Rocket Motors, within Voyager’s Strategic Systems line of business. It requires coordinating with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to keep programs on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace or closely related field with 7 years of combined technical engineering and project engineering experience OR 11 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with solid rocket motor design, development, and manufacturing processes, including safety and regulatory requirements Governing energetic materials.
• Ability to develop and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule and execute against baselines in a fast-paced environment.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of solid rocket motor design and manufacturing programs from proposal through qualification.
• Serve as primary technical interface with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and baseline control through design, development, test, and production phases.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and technical issues and escalate when needed.
