Job summary

Stora is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead about 12 engineers across three product teams. You’ll focus on developing people, coaching performance, and shaping progression paths while maintaining strong Engineer-to-Engineer collaboration in a remote-first environment.

You’ll work with Heads of Engineering and People to improve processes, hire effectively, and scale the engineering organisation as Stora grows.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineers across multiple teams and product areas.
• Proven track record developing engineers at different career levels.
• Hands-on performance management and difficult conversations.
• Experience defining and running promotion/progression processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering management across multiple product teams with regular 1:1s and coaching.
• Define and implement progression and promotion criteria with evidence-based reviews.
• Own engineering hiring alongside Tech Leads and wider team; ensure strong onboarding.
• Maintain remote engineering culture and team health across the org.
• Collaborate with Heads of Engineering and People team to improve processes.
