SPX Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Engineering – R&D Test Center to lead project engineering activities, own the DCR process, and drive certification testing programs.

You will supervise Project Engineers, coordinate with test operations, and align priorities with product certification goals and customer expectations. The role emphasizes process standardization, portfolio visibility, and continuous improvement in engineering workstreams, while collaborating with stakeholders to meet

Qualifications

• 8+ years in engineering, testing, product development, or technical project management.
• At least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing project engineering teams.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects with portfolio visibility.
• Strong communication, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with engineering resource planning, workload balancing, data analysis, and performance measurement.

Responsibilities

• Lead Project Engineers and govern the DCR process from creation to closeout.
• Establish priorities, coach staff, manage performance and development.
• Ensure engineering test plans, scope, deliverables, and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate with Test Operations to align capacity and resources across projects.
• Provide portfolio status to leadership and plan for staffing needs.
• Ensure certification testing complies with standards and is properly documented.
