Job summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) seeks a Manager, Project Engineering New Generation to plan, direct, and oversee engineering execution for capital projects across generation technologies. Lead detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and turnover to Generation Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in an engineering discipline.
• 8 years in an engineering role.
• 3 years in a manager/supervisor role.
• Demonstrated experience supporting engineering design and execution of thermal power generation facilities.
• Knowledge of power generation systems including gas turbines, HRSGs, steam turbines, balance-of-plant systems, electrical and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of project engineers and technical specialists.
• Coordinate design activities among EPC contractors, Owner Engineers, Fleet Engineering, OEMs and other providers.
• Ensure engineering deliverables are technically sound and aligned with project costs, schedule, quality, safety and performance objectives.
