Job summary

• Knowledge of power generation systems including gas turbines, HRSGs, steam turbines, balance-of-plant systems, electrical and controls.

Job description

The Manager, Project Engineering New Generation is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing engineering execution activities for the new generation capital projects. The position provides engineering leadership during detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and turnover to Generation Operations.

The Manager serves as the primary engineering focal point during project execution and coordinates design activities among EPC contractors, Owner Engineers, Fleet Engineering, OEMs, and other engineering service providers. The position ensures engineering deliverables are technically sound, aligned with the standards and operational requirements, and executed in support of project cost, schedule, quality, safety, and performance objectives.

This position will lead and develop a team of project engineers and technical specialists and is accountable for engineering integration across a portfolio that may include gas-fired simple cycle and combined cycle generation, battery energy storage systems, solar projects, and other generation technologies. The Manager operates within APS's capital project governance framework while supporting fast-paced project execution and commercial in-service commitments.
