Job summary

Traka (Assa Abloy) Wisconsin seeks an Engineering Manager Lead Product Innovation and Engineering Excellence to lead product development, engineering operations, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment. You will drive design, testing, and launches while partnering with Operations, Quality, Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to deliver innovative, high‑quality products.

The role requires 7+ years in engineering, 3+ years leading teams, and strong CAD/GD&T skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of engineering experience in product design, manufacturing engineering, or production process engineering.
• 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
• Hands-on product development experience with CAD, GD&T, drawings, and design standards.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).

Responsibilities

• Lead product design, development, testing, and launch activities for new and existing products.
• Direct engineering and R&D teams to achieve project objectives and quality standards.
• Oversee CAD standards, engineering documentation, and design guidelines.
• Drive product innovation while improving manufacturability, quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Partner with Operations to optimize manufacturing processes and support launches.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality and manufacturing issues.
• Manage capital projects from concept through budgeting, planning, and execution.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and cross‑functional teams on development and improvement initiatives.
