Job summary

ASSA ABLOY in Berlin, CT is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to lead process improvements, lean initiatives, and new product introductions. You will partner with Design Engineers and Production teams to streamline layouts, reduce lead times, and implement cost‑saving measures.

The role reports to the Profit Center General Manager and is based onsite, Monday through Friday, with a comprehensive benefits package including PTO, holidays, health/dental/vision, 401(k)

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering and/or Manufacturing or equivalent.
• Lean manufacturing practices (Kanban, Poke-Yoke, JIT, Value Stream Mapping).
• Ability to collaborate with design and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes.
• Lead quality improvement efforts with training and new processes.
• Plan, commission and maintain production lines and cellular layouts.
• Coordinate projects and work with vendors to resolve issues.
• Prepare manufacturing documentation and support design teams.
