ASSA ABLOY in Berlin, CT is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to lead process improvements and support new product introductions. The role focuses on lean manufacturing, quality plans, and collaboration with design and manufacturing teams.

The position is onsite at the Berlin, CT office with responsibilities spanning machine and assembly line maintenance, equipment sourcing, and cross-functional teamwork. A BS in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering and/or Manufacturing or equivalent.
• Lean manufacturing practices (Kanban, Poke-Yoke, JIT, Value Stream Mapping).
• Experience with Assembly Operations and Metal Machining processes.

Responsabilités

• Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes.
• Develop quality plans for products.
• Lead continuous improvement and corrective actions based on root cause analysis.
• Plan, commission and maintain production lines; establish cellular layouts.
• Coordinate projects with internal/external customers and vendors.

By empowering users to control access, we provide unparalleled peace of mind through enhancing safety and visibility.Reporting directly to the Profit Center General Manager, you will spearhead product improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and develop new products.This position will be performed onsite Monday through Friday at our Berlin, CT office.**What you will be doing*** Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes* Develop quality plans for products* Develop and implement corrective action based on root cause analysis* Develop lean manufacturing procedures, reduce product lead time, promote visual factory environment* Plan, commission and maintain machine and assembly production lines* Lead quality improvement efforts through training, communication and implementation of new processes* Manage equipment purchase and installation* Prepare manufacturing documentation* Coordinate projects* Work closely with internal and external customers, as well as vendors to resolve issues and provide technical support* Key member of Product Design Team, working with Design Engineers to develop and introduce new products* Establish and maintain cellular layouts* Lead and direct meetings with other team members and hourly associates**What we are looking for*** Manufacturing Engineer with 3-5 year’s experience preferred. Will consider recent graduates with solid intern experience.* BS in Mechanical Engineering and/or Manufacturing or equivalent* Lean manufacturing practices ( Kanban, Poke-Yoke, JIT, Value Stream Mapping)* Experience with Assembly Operations, Metal Machining processes and tool design* Ability to think progressively and creatively while keeping the future of the company and its employees in mind* Excellent teamwork and collaboration capabilities* Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications* Strong Communication skills (written and public speaking)**What we Offer!**The annual salary for this role is $85,000-$105,000. The final pay rate offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level, and other qualifications for the role.
