Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Process Improvement Engineering Manager to lead end-to-end optimization across a network of manufacturing sites. You will drive lean initiatives, improve labor efficiency, and set world-class standards in collaboration with operations, quality, maintenance, and supply chain.

You will build and mentor engineering teams, implement cost-reducing programs, develop SOPs, and ensure compliant, data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 5+ years manufacturing/industrial experience.
• 2+ years experience in team management or project leadership.
• Demonstrated lean manufacturing, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and statistical analysis.
• Ability to travel up to 50% depending on project scope.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to boost efficiency and throughput.
• Lead multiple engineering projects with milestones, budgets, and objectives.
• Use data analytics and root-cause analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, labor standards, and cost analysis systems.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance and Supply Chain.
• Mentor plant personnel and drive training on best practices.
