Job summary

Smithfield Foods in the United States is seeking a Process Improvement Engineering Manager to drive end-to-end manufacturing improvements across multiple sites. You will lead lean initiatives, optimize labor and workflows, and build high-performing engineering teams to raise quality and reduce costs.

You will collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain, manage projects on timelines and budgets, and mentor staff while embedding a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 5+ years of manufacturing/industrial engineering experience.
• 2+ years of team management or project leadership experience.
• Lean manufacturing, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and statistical analysis.
• Ability to travel up to 50% depending on project scope.

Responsibilities

• Lead process optimization and lean implementation to improve efficiency and throughput.
• Oversee multiple engineering projects from concept to execution with on-time delivery.
• Use data analytics to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop SOPs and labor standards and support cost analysis and budgeting.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to align initiatives.
