Job summary
Hitachi Energy in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Project Lead Engineer to guide a team delivering advanced Power Quality Solutions, including FACTS, for EPC turnkey projects. You will coordinate across electrical, mechanical, controls, and studies, ensuring safe, on-time delivery while meeting budget and contractual requirements. The role offers leadership growth and exposure to advancing grid technologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent.
2–3 years of leadership experience such as line or project management.
3–5 years of experience managing large EPC turnkey projects.
Experience with HV substations or FACTS projects.
Knowledge of power electronic devices is an advantage.
PMP certification is an advantage.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of Project Lead Engineers to deliver power quality solutions.
Oversee project execution to meet schedule, cost, safety, and quality.
Coordinate activities across system design, electrical, mechanical, controls, and studies.
Collaborate with global teams and stakeholders to support delivery.
Drive continuous improvement and competency development programs.
Ensure adherence to internal procedures and contract requirements.
Promote health, safety, and environmental culture on projects.
Escalate engineering challenges and maintain stakeholder relationships.
