Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Raleigh seeks a leader to drive a team delivering advanced power quality solutions, including FACTS, coordinating across system design, electrical, mechanical, and controls to deliver complex EPC turnkey projects.

You will guide multi-disciplinary teams, ensure safety and quality, and collaborate with global stakeholders to advance grid stability and transmission capacity while promoting continuous process improvements and competency development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in leadership roles such as line management or project management.
• 3–5 years of experience managing large EPC turnkey projects.
• Experience working with HV substations or FACTS projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Project Lead Engineers delivering high-quality, cost-effective power quality solutions.
• Oversee project execution to meet schedule, cost, safety, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate engineering activities across disciplines including system design, electrical, mechanical, controls, and studies.
• Collaborate with global teams and internal stakeholders to support project delivery and objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and competency development programs.
• Guide project execution practices and ensure adherence to internal procedures and contractual commitments.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders as escalation point for engineering challenges.
• Promote and support a strong health, safety, and environmental culture across project teams.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
