Job summary
Hitachi Energy USA Inc. in Raleigh, NC seeks a Control Systems Engineer to join our Grid Integration team. You’ll design, implement, and test control systems for FACTS and grid projects, develop algorithms, and collaborate across engineering functions from design to commissioning.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (or equivalent).
- Advanced degree in Power Systems, Power Electronics, or Control Theory preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in control systems engineering.
- Strong knowledge of FACTS and grid integration concepts.
- Experience with MATLAB, PI/PID algorithms, and real-time simulation.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement control systems for FACTS and grid integration projects.
- Develop and test control algorithms for power converters.
- Simulate system behavior using MATLAB and real-time tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
- Lead design reviews and support commissioning activities.
