Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager to optimize plant efficiency through planning, program management, and succession planning. You will work with plant leaders to maintain production schedules while upholding safety, compliance, and food quality standards.

You will drive innovation and mentor the maintenance team to enhance performance. The role requires 5+ years in leadership, a degree in engineering, and a strong background in maintenance, quality assurance, and process

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven leadership or supervisory experience in industrial operations.
• Knowledge of project management, quality assurance, and employee development.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage superintendents and projects: small scale maintenance project planning and down day planning with superintendents.
• Manage CapEx program and MRO planning and forecasting, while teaching superintendent.
• Manage employee development and succession planning.
• Utilize SAP to review and approve breakdown, overtime, and purchase orders; conduct root cause analysis of inventory variances.
• Review spare parts stock level and attend plant operation meetings.
• Oversee financial review and reporting on P&L for maintenance spend.
• Conduct floor walks with superintendent for department-work verification.
• Manage equipment trends and preventive maintenance program assessments.
