Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Annapolis, MD is seeking an Engineering Manager Level 1 to lead a distributed, multi-discipline engineering team focused on naval production for submarines and surface Navy. You will oversee design, manufacturing, assembly and test activities, and partner with program offices to meet program commitments.

Candidates must have a mechanical engineering degree with 5 years (or a master with 3), US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5 years of engineering experience.
• Or a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3 years of engineering experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects.
• Experience in design and production with an engineering background.

Responsibilities

• Provide project and technical oversight of design activities performed by the group.
• Manage the technical team during the design, manufacturing, assembly and testing of naval products.
• Prepare cost estimates, provide proposal inputs, and review proposal content for internal and external customers.
• Collaborate with Program Office, Operations, Business Management and others to meet goals.
