DoorDash is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Merchant Tablet team. You will guide backend and Android engineers, drive a strategic roadmap, and ensure exceptional mobile and web user experiences while shaping the team's technical vision.

Expect partnerships with product, design, analytics, and S&O; focus on reliability, scalability, and mentorship for a 9+ person team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• B.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of people management leading full stack product teams.
• 2+ years of experience leading Android engineers.
• 8+ years of industry experience.
• You bring a strong product sense and can be a thought partner with cross-functional peers.
• Experience selecting and adopting web technologies to improve testing and performance.
• A customer-centric mindset and ability to build platform services.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact tech initiatives shaping Merchant apps including AI-powered live order interfaces.
• Drive engineering excellence for the tablet team through reliability and observability.
• Collaborate with product, design, analytics, engineering and S&O.
• Provide architectural guidance and professional development for a team of 9+ engineers.
• Foster innovation, teamwork and adoption of cutting-edge technologies.
• Scale the team by recruiting, retaining and developing top engineers.
