Job summary

DoorDash seeks an Engineering Manager for the People Applications team to shape the future of our platform across talent acquisition, compensation, and employee experience domains.

You will lead a high-performing, full-stack engineering team across DoorDash locations in the US and Hungary, shaping technical direction and product strategy while delivering reliable, AI-enabled experiences for employees across all brands.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of people management leading full-stack teams of 5+ engineers.
• 7+ years of industry experience in software development, ideally in HR-related applications.
• Experience with distributed system design, system scaling, and performance optimization including leveraging AI to improve velocity.
• Hands-on leadership with strong business acumen and product intuition.
• Experience with Generative AI development and fine-tuning such as prompts, agents, guardrails, and knowledge base optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing, full-stack engineering team across DoorDash locations in US and Hungary.
• Define architectural roadmap and drive technical vision for the People Applications team.
• Oversee development of core People Application product experiences, including data pipelines, automation, and AI tool integrations.
• Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into impactful solutions.
• Establish best practices in development processes, testing, release management, and monitoring.
• Leverage AI and automation to improve developer velocity and business outcomes.
