Job summary

Stord is seeking an experienced engineering leader to own two live WMS teams responsible for reliability and platform enhancements. You will guide two engineering squads from day one, ensuring delivery predictability while staying technically hands-on.

Qualifications

Strong technical background enabling credible design discussions, code review, and architecture decisions.
Direct experience managing engineers: hiring, performance reviews, feedback, and career development.
Ability to run a scrum team (or two) with predictable delivery cycles and clear communication of progress and blockers.
Comfort with shifting priorities and requirements while setting clear direction for teams.
Production mindset: reliability, monitoring, and failure modes integrated into design.
AI-assisted development: guide team adoption while maintaining quality.

Responsibilities

Own the complete people management lifecycle for two engineering teams: hiring, 1:1s, performance reviews, career development.
Set sprint goals and delivery commitments for both teams with a predictable cadence.
Lead team ceremonies to build trust and healthy team dynamics.
Drive platform enhancements within WMS and translate business priorities into concrete work.
Ensure reliability of live systems, including monitoring and incident response.
Coordinate with peers across WMS engineering and product to align priorities and standards.
