Job summary

Malt is seeking an impact-driven Engineering Manager to elevate the performance, productivity, and innovation of our software engineering teams. You will lead a tribe of 2-3 cross-functional squads, partner with leadership to align product strategy, and foster a culture of collaboration and empowerment.

You will guide senior engineers and establish high-impact processes, while focusing on people development, engineering excellence, and sustained delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience scaling teams in high-growth environments.
• Strong backend/full-stack development background (Java/Kotlin preferred).
• First leadership experience (Tech Lead, Engineering Manager) a plus.
• Solid software architecture skills and modern practices.
• Proficient in Agile methodologies and project tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a tribe of 8–12 software engineers, fostering collaboration and performance.
• Partner with product managers and stakeholders to define goals and ensure timely delivery.
• Champion code quality, testing standards, and engineering practices across the team.
• Define and track KPIs, contribute to organizational engineering initiatives, and drive process improvements.
