Job summary

YouTrip is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead and grow multiple scrum teams building backend services and frontend applications used by millions of customers. You will mentor engineers, oversee project execution, and contribute to development processes to maintain technical proficiency and practical guidance.

The role requires coaching, strong communication, and a product-aware mindset to balance features with engineering excellence, including distributed systems and OKR-driven goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 2 years of team management experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in designing and developing high-performance, concurrent applications; Golang experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with ability to oversee priorities and deadlines.
• Solid understanding of product metrics and OKR framework.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and manage a team of software engineers, setting goals and conducting performance evaluations.
• Oversee software projects, ensuring on-time delivery and quality.
• Participate in coding, code reviews, and provide guidance to the team.
• Set technical direction and stay updated with emerging technologies.
• Enforce coding standards and promote test automation.
• Foster collaboration and clear communication within the team and with cross-functional teams.
• Engage with stakeholders, providing progress updates and insights on outcomes.
• Coach engineers toward becoming more self-organized, agile, and autonomous.
