Job summary
Global Payments is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to lead two senior engineering teams within the Software Development group. You will collaborate with stakeholders to scope initiatives, implement automation, and drive best practices for merchant experiences across the Sales organization.
You will guide technical strategy, mentor engineers, and ensure quality through robust testing and observability.
Qualifications
- 8+ years as software engineer with 1+ year managing teams
- Experience delivering large projects with complex integration
- C# and .NET proficiency
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Familiarity with Agile/Safe delivery frameworks
- Knowledge of payment processing industry processes
Responsibilities
- Lead two agile software teams of engineers and SDETs
- Ensure test coverage and automation goals are met
- Define and monitor SLIs/SLOs and KPIs for the portfolio
- Contribute up to 10% of time to coding, testing, or reviews
- Collaborate with Sales, Pricing, Boarding, Implementation, and Product Operations
- Mentor team members and manage product backlog with PMs
- Coordinate with Site Reliability and platform teams on CI/CD and test automation
