Job summary

Cast AI is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to join the Product team in a hybrid role. You will lead a team and contribute to product code, balancing people leadership with hands-on engineering responsibilities.

You will work on Kubernetes-based automation, cloud-native infrastructure, and a high-velocity development cycle. The role offers remote-first collaboration with a global team and equity options for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing and leading a technical team.
• Strong software engineering skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Knowledge of cloud-native infrastructure and cloud-provider differences.
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools such as Terraform.
• Proficient in CI/CD pipelines with a GitOps approach (GitLab CI, ArgoCD).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers.
• Collaborate with Product Owner and stakeholders on requirements and roadmaps.
• Ensure quality, scalability, and resilience across deliverables.
• Foster continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Be a role model and champion Cast AI values.
• Oversee engineering work on fleet-scale challenges and platform design.
• Drive architecture decisions for scalability and performance.
• Participate in incident response and on-call coverage as needed.
