Job summary

Stripe in Seattle, WA is seeking an Engineering Manager of Managers to lead multiple teams within the Service Infrastructure group. You will shape technical direction, drive architecture decisions, and partner with product engineering to accelerate critical launches.

You will mentor line managers and senior ICs, scale teams and processes for reliability, incident response, and performance, while partnering with recruiting to attract top engineering talent.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience managing managers of teams with 25+ people.
• 3+ years managing teams shipping and operating critical distributed infrastructure.
• Track record aligning technical collaborators on architectural/strategic decisions.
• Experience leading incident response processes and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with high-visibility teams and stakeholders to support key engineering initiatives.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership for architecture, vision, requirements, and incident response.
• Prioritize engineering work to enable rapid, reliable feature delivery by product engineers.
• Drive improvements to Stripe’s architecture across the organization.
• Lead processes to help infra teams perform at the highest level and interface with Stripe.
