Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking an Engineering Manager II in Dayton, OH to lead a multi-disciplinary team, manage schedules and budgets, and drive innovative solutions while ensuring compliance with standards. This role emphasizes leadership, risk management, and cross-functional coordination across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Ideal candidates will have a BS in a related field, 8+ years of engineering experience including 4+ years in management, and strong CAE/analysis

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science degree in a related discipline.
• 8+ years of progressive engineering experience, including 4+ years in management.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
• Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools, analysis and simulation.
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team to achieve project milestones.
• Develop and maintain project schedules for on-time delivery.
• Monitor and control project costs within budget.
• Drive development and implementation of technical solutions to complex challenges.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable standards and regulations.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Mentor and develop engineering staff for continuous improvement.
• Present project updates and technical data to senior management.
