Job summary

Crossmint is hiring a senior Engineering Manager to own identity, compliance and risk as a single engineering horizontal. You will lead a team, own the roadmap, and stay close enough to review architectures and code.

This role requires hands-on depth in identity, KYC/KYB, fraud/risk decisioning, and regulatory-aware product delivery in a regulated payments ecosystem. You will report to the CTO, collaborate with Product, Compliance, Legal, Security, and Risk Operations, and guide the team through

Qualifications

8+ years building production systems, with 2+ years managing engineers.
Experience shipping in regulated environments: payments, banking, lending, crypto, or similar.
Hands-on depth in identity/authentication, KYC/KYB, fraud and risk decisioning, or AML screening.
Strong programming skills; TypeScript is ideal.
Designing data and domain models across clients, markets, and regulatory regimes.
Ability to differentiate regulatory constraints from internal habits.
Familiarity with current AI and agentic tools.

Responsibilities

Own the engineering roadmap for identity, compliance and risk.
Define shared services: identity models, onboarding, authentication, screening, and risk decisioning.
Set cross-client domain models spanning jurisdictions and regimes.
Review architecture and participate in incident reviews; lead threat modelling.
