Job summary

ModMed is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead our IAM platform and identity services team. You will balance technical leadership with people management, ensuring secure SSO, central authentication, and infrastructure automation deliver high performance and strict SLAs.

While IAM background is a plus, we value deep architectural skill, fast learning, and collaboration with Product and Staff engineers to deliver high-quality software and test-driven releases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering management experience leading backend or platform teams.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong OO design and backend systems knowledge; Java or C# a plus.
• Solid understanding of automated testing and modern CI/CD practices.
• Willingness to engage in acceptance testing and product quality reviews.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of influencing leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team focused on IAM.
• Own product quality, engage in UAT, and drive releases with minimal downtime.
• Review designs, challenge architecture, and ensure scalable security.
• Champion automated testing and robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Partner with Product Owner to plan delivery schedules and priorities.
• Collaborate across Security, Compliance, and Data teams on standards.
