Job summary

ModMed is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team building our Identity & Access Management platform. You will balance technical leadership, team management, and delivery execution to ensure top performance, strict SLA adherence, and robust security.

Experience in IAM or security infrastructure helps, but candidates with strong fundamentals, architecture, and a fast-learning mindset will thrive.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering management experience leading backend or platform teams.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong OO language and backend systems background (Java or C# a plus).
• Experience with automated testing and modern CI/CD.
• Willingness to learn platform deeply and engage in acceptance testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers; foster technical excellence and psychological safety.
• Dive deep into identity services and Keycloak extensions; assist with UAT and quality validation.
• Participate in design reviews; evaluate trade-offs and ensure scalable, resilient design.
• Drive automated testing and robust CI/CD pipelines; ensure zero-downtime deployments.
• Partner with Product Owner to drive delivery schedules and unblock team members.
• Establish and track uptime and latency SLAs for the platform.
• Promote AI-driven development tools to boost efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with Security, Compliance, and Product leadership.
