ModMed seeks an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing backend/platform team responsible for our Identity & Access Management platform. You will balance technical leadership with people management and drive secure, scalable software delivery.

The role focuses on central authentication, SSO, and automation, requiring strong architectural judgment and a fast-learning mindset. Collaboration with Product Owner and Staff Engineer is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering management leading backend/platform teams, plus 5+ years hands-on software development.
• Strong OO design and backend systems experience (Java or C# a plus).
• Deep understanding of modern testing, automated frameworks, and CI/CD workflows.
• Willingness to engage in acceptance testing and drive release quality.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and prioritization skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead and grow a team of engineers.
• Foster a culture of excellence, learning, accountability, and psychological safety.
• Own product quality through deep knowledge of identity services and security tooling (Keycloak, IAM).
• Contribute to UAT and ensure high-quality software releases.
• Participate in design reviews and guide scalable, resilient architecture.
