Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) in Plano, Texas, seeks an Engineering Manager I to lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team in an agile environment. This role focuses on guiding complex programs, ensuring quality assurance, and driving process improvements to deliver results on time and within budget.

You will manage technical planning, execution, and cross-functional collaboration while building bench strength and mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; higher degree may substitute for experience.
• 6+ years of engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.
• Proficiency with project management software and tools.
• Experience with CAE tools, analysis and simulation.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and guide functional group through complex projects.
• Oversee lab/IT/engineering support services, system administration, and security/compliance activities.
• Drive scalability, automation, and cost-aware decision-making across the BA program support functions.
• Own budget planning and defense; manage resources, schedules, and risk.
• Represent the team in cross-functional forums and foster collaboration with stakeholders.
