Job summary

AngelList is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and grow the Nova Product engineering team, owning the TypeScript-based customer experience across subscriptions, data rooms, distributions, and LP wallets. This hands-on, player-coach role focuses on team growth, roadmap delivery with design/product partners, and setting technical direction.

Qualifications

2+ years of engineering management experience, including hiring, developing, and getting the best work from engineers.
Record of shipping and scaling customer-facing products with strong user experience and quality.
Experience in fintech/payments/identity and KYC is a bonus and highly valued.
Experience with a modern TypeScript stack or ability to learn quickly.
Good startup judgment with the ability to operate in ambiguity and add useful process.

Responsibilities

Own the Nova Product team results across subscriptions, data rooms, distributions, capital calls, and the LP wallet/portal.
Grow the team from ~4 to 5–7 engineers and help shape the broader Product group structure.
Collaborate with Product, Design, stakeholders and Foundations teams to progress the roadmap.
Set clear technical direction with senior/staff engineers and maintain high quality standards.
Unblock the team and stay close enough to code to provide context when needed.
Help shape organization and reporting structures as the Product group evolves.
