AngelList is building private markets infrastructure both in New York City and San Francisco. The Financial Partnerships Lead will oversee banks, infrastructure, and credit partners that support Nova. The role involves selecting partners, negotiating terms, and ensuring relationships accelerate our roadmap.

This senior IC role reports to Nova’s GM and has a path to building a team. We expect 8+ years in relevant partnerships, strong negotiation, API and payment rails experience, and the ability

Qualifications

• 8+ years in bank or fintech partnerships, treasury or deposit programs, or banking.
• Experience managing partner banks, sweep networks, and payment providers with risk controls.
• Ability to negotiate complex commercial agreements with legal and finance input.
• Ability to discuss APIs, payment rails, and reconciliation with engineers and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own partnership strategy with product to deliver the roadmap.
• Define partner selection and commercial negotiation processes.
• Lead partner acquisition as Nova expands offerings and infra needs.
• Manage deposit concentration and redundancy for critical partners.
• Serve as senior contact from partners to executives; escalation point.
• Oversee third-party risk with Risk, Compliance, and AML; audits and remediation.
