This role blends hands-on coding with strategic planning, cross-functional partnership, and rapid execution within a manufacturing-focused software platform. You will mentor engineers, shape the roadmap, and lead critical initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of engineering management experience leading product engineering teams in production.
• Strong full-stack engineering background.
• Experience hiring, growing, and retaining engineers and running a healthy team.
• Real product and customer instinct; understand product, user, and business goals.
• Clear point of view on the developer lifecycle and how to improve it.
• Systems thinking across services, data flows, and team boundaries.
• Experience leading or contributing to distributed systems in production.
• Technical credibility to read, review, and write production code and lead architecture discussions.
• Strong communication to align engineers, product partners, operators, and leadership.
• Comfortable in a fast-moving, high-stakes environment with short iteration cycles.

Responsibilities

• Own one or more business domains end-to-end, including product outcomes, engineering execution, and ongoing health.
• Hire, grow, and retain a strong team; set a clear bar and address performance.
• Stay hands-on as a player-coach; drive architecture reviews and production incidents.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Operations to shape the roadmap and translate priorities into work.
• Continuously improve the developer lifecycle from planning to incident response.
