Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of electrical and mechanical engineers for end-to-end product design and development of electrical power distribution equipment, including Low Voltage Switchgear and Power Distribution Cabinets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or an equivalent engineering science.
• 5+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 10+ years developing electrical and mechanical products from concept, to production and sustaining.
• Master's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (preferred).
• 12+ years developing electrical power distribution equipment (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Make high-judgment trade-offs between competing priorities and essential features.
• Drive strategic direction for the team's technical roadmap and influence partner teams.
• Build and lead a high-performing engineering team with leadership principles.
• Identify and mitigate risks and unblock engineers and partner teams.
• Collaborate with partner teams to implement and improve processes regionally and globally.
• Provide clear technical strategy and communication across organizational levels.
