Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an Engineering Manager for our Developer Observability Platform. You will lead a high-velocity, customer-obsessed team focused on making telemetry discoverable and actionable across a distributed, global environment.

The role requires deep observability experience, hands-on leadership, and the ability to align technical decisions with product goals. You will interface with major customers and drive essential platform improvements in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant industry experience, including 4+ years leading software engineering teams.
• Proven track record shipping and operating complex, large-scale systems and data-driven apps.
• Deep technical depth to guide architecture and decisions.
• Strong taste for developer tools and observability products.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer outcomes; be accountable for building, planning, and delivery.
• Set the technical and product vision with PMs and Engineers.
• Build and operate an observability platform for a rapidly evolving AI ecosystem.
• Own platform operations: SLOs, incident response, escalations, and tech debt.
• Recruit, mentor, and grow engineers; raise the team’s performance bar.
• Foster a culture of fast iteration, high ownership, and accountability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with platform and product teams to surface meaningful data.
