Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking an Engineering Manager for Observability to lead a high-velocity, customer-focused team. You will empower customers by making telemetry discoverable and actionable in one place, with a distributed team that values fast iteration and ownership.

You will guide architecture, ship large-scale systems, and own platform reliability while mentoring senior engineers and collaborating across product and platform teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industry experience, including at least 4 years managing software engineering teams.
• Proven track record leading teams that shipped and operated complex, large-scale systems.
• Significant architectural depth to guide decisions and designs.
• Deep familiarity with observability tools and platforms.
• Ability to hire, coach, and develop senior engineers and build high-performing teams.
• Hands-on leader who stays close to code, numbers, customers, and roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer outcomes and take ownership of delivery.
• Set technical and product vision with PMs and engineers.
• Build an observability platform for a fast-evolving AI-enabled ecosystem.
• Own platform reliability, SLOs, incident response, and debt management.
• Recruit, mentor, and grow engineers; foster high-agency culture.
• Collaborate across teams to surface meaningful, actionable data.
