Job summary

This role requires a strong background in mechanical design, leadership, and risk assessment, with hands-on involvement in 3D modeling, FEA, tolerance analysis, and supplier collaboration. Travel up to 10% may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 10+ years of related experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and provide feedback for performance coaching.
• Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving ability.
• Experience with nonlinear structural, shock, and vibration simulation (FEA).
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Vault, and Ansys.
• Experience in regulated industries (medical, aerospace, defense).

Responsibilities

• Technical expert for projects including 3D modeling, FEA, hand calculations, tolerance stack‑up.
• Lead a team of 5+ senior engineers; manage staffing and performance.
• Interface with manufacturing, supply chain, customers and vendors.
• Support bids and proposals; travel up to 10%.
