Job summary

Scale is seeking a senior platform engineer on the Customer Platform team to own large sections of our product and drive end-to-end feature development. You will ship across frontend, backend, and data systems, collaborating with internal and external customers to ensure reliable connectivity and high quality experiences.

Ideal candidates have 7–10 years of relevant experience, a track record of scaling products, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Track record of shipping high-quality products and features at scale.
• Desire to work in a very fast-paced environment.
• Ability to translate business and product ideas into engineering solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills; able to work independently or in a team.
• Excited to join a dynamic, hybrid team in San Francisco or New York City.

Responsibilities

• Own large areas within our product.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal or external customers.
• Build features end-to-end: front-end, back-end, system design, debugging and testing.
• Deliver experiments at high velocity and quality to engage customers.
• Work across the product lifecycle from conceptualization through production.
• Influence culture, values, and processes of a growing engineering team.
• Inspire and mentor less experienced engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and ship new features.
