GEICO is seeking a Manager, Commercial Insurance Engineering to build and lead a high-performance team delivering commercial insurance applications with generative AI capabilities. You will drive a technical roadmap, improve performance, and foster a culture of psychological safety and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate has 8+ years in software engineering, 5+ years in large-scale environments, and strong cloud expertise (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with lifecycle best practices.
- 5+ years in a large-scale, mission-critical environment.
- 5+ years supervising personnel in a technical setting.
- 2+ years of automated testing including Unit, Integration, and End-to-End testing.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of engineers delivering Commercial Insurance products.
- Drive a technical roadmap to increase velocity and enable new capabilities.
- Enhance application performance, user experience, and test automation.
- Translate business value into engineering priorities and outcomes.
