GEICO is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer, Applied AI to direct technical architecture for cross-functional AI programs and mentor engineers. You will shape scalable AI platforms, guide multi-team delivery, and drive responsible deployment across the enterprise.

You will work with Staff Engineers and leaders to define roadmaps, ensure security and compliance, and translate business goals into robust AI solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

8+ years of professional software engineering or applied ML experience.
2+ years in production with Generative AI or LLM-based systems.
Hands-on expertise in Python and modern AI frameworks.
Experience delivering complex AI/ML capabilities across teams.
Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

Provide technical architecture and leadership for medium to large AI initiatives.
Architect and lead implementation of Generative AI solutions across domains.
Design agent-based workflows with multiple AI agents and tools.
Lead engineering reviews and set standards for AI/ML systems.
Mentor mid-level engineers and drive adoption of best practices.
Collaborate with staff engineers, product management, and stakeholders.
