Job summary

Stellarus is seeking a Manager, Engineering to lead a team responsible for designing and delivering complex services, integrations, cloud-native applications, and enterprise technology capabilities. The role requires strong people leadership, technical depth, and collaboration across multiple disciplines.

You will work with Product, Architecture, Security, Platform, Infrastructure, vendors, and senior leadership to align priorities, remove obstacles, and drive outcomes that support our mission

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or GED with 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• 7 years of experience in software engineering, full stack development, platform engineering, or related technology.
• 2 years of prior management or people leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery models, backlog and risk management, prioritization, coaching, and delegation.
• Technical fluency across cloud-native development, APIs, CI/CD, secure development, and integrations.
• Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks, backend services, databases, RESTful integrations, cloud platforms, containerization, and IaC.
• Ability to collaborate with Product, Design, QA, Security, Platform, Architecture, vendors, and business teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in regulated/healthcare/enterprise environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team responsible for designing and delivering complex services and cloud-native applications.
• Ensure strategy, structure, talent, standards, and execution discipline for deliverables.
• Guide major technical decisions and resolve complex risks; support modernization efforts.
• Partner across Product, Architecture, Security, Platform, Infrastructure, vendors, and senior leadership.
• Foster continuous learning and develop leaders at multiple levels.
