Job summary

Expeditors International in Seattle seeks a Manager, Technology Management of Documents to lead a software engineering team building a cloud-based document platform on Azure, migrating from legacy systems while keeping operations uninterrupted.

You will drive technical strategy, mentor engineers, manage vendors, and champion AI-enabled document processing in alignment with global needs and security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in software engineering.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience leading technology teams, technical initiatives, products, platforms, or services.
• Experience coaching and developing technical employees.
• Experience coordinating work across stakeholders and managing competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a software engineering team responsible for the enterprise document management ecosystem.
• Drive modernization to a cloud-based Azure platform and oversee vendor engagement.
• Provide technical guidance, review architecture, and ensure operational readiness.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Security, Product, and external partners to deliver scalable solutions.
