Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) through its Document Management Engineering team seeks an Engineering Manager to drive end-to-end document management systems and intelligent automation at production scale. You will lead mid- and senior engineers across Java/.NET backend, RESTful APIs, and cloud infrastructures on AWS and Azure, shaping near-term AI capabilities and ensuring disciplined release practices.

You will oversee architecture decisions, CI/CD pipelines, and cross-functional coordination

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years leading software engineering teams with demonstrated performance improvement.
• 5+ years in document management or information management domains.
• Hands-on with Java and/or .NET backend development; ability to review design decisions.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices in production.
• Experience deploying on AWS/Azure with focus on availability, security and cost.
• Proven track record owning CI/CD pipelines and release management.
• Familiarity with AI/ML development: LLM integration and intelligent automation.
• Experience with React/Angular frontend; familiarity with OpenShift and microservices.
• SDLC knowledge with Agile, strong written/verbal communication and executive interaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of document management initiatives with on-time releases.
• Own end‑to‑end platform architecture including API design and data models.
• Make architectural decisions across backend and frontend integrations (React/Angular/Node).
• Design and govern RESTful APIs and microservices across the organization.
• Set engineering standards for cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) including security and cost.
• Own CI/CD strategy and ensure rapid, quality deployments with proper gates.
• Oversee multi‑tier release management and environment operations; manage incidents.
• Ensure environment health across development to production with observability and alerts.
• Drive AI roadmap: AI-assisted classification, search, retention workflows; governance.
• Lead secure AI practices: data leakage controls, prompt safety, NPI/PII protection.
